Nidhi Kothari

I'm Nidhi, an Experience designer based in Pune, India. I'm currently working at Hexagon to improve experiences for digital manufacturing tools and will soon be transitioning to IBM iX as a UX designer.

My research goals include designing and building tools that enhance societal well-being (by helping people with special needs) and environmental sustainability (by driving positive behaviour change).

At Hexagon

Virtual Test Drive x - Hexagon

Worked as an embedded designer for the next-gen software VTDx designing the experience for testing and simulating automobiles and their ADAS/AD features.

SimManager - Hexagon

Conducted design audit for a Simulation Process & Data Management application with the goal of unifying its experience with other Nexus cloud applications.

Nexus Compute - Hexagon

Collaborated with other designers working on Compute for its "Job configuration & SKU selection" feature as well as its customer-facing landing page and related workflows.

Exploring the challenges faced by visually impaired women to manage their monthly menstruation.

As part of our DIP course, we created Ecoliv, an app concept that calculates carbon footprints and motivates sustainable habits through accountability and gamification.

Saudade is a stop-motion short film, created with 2 close friends as a passion project. It tells the story of a man revisiting the cherished memories with his grandmother in rural India.
